About Me- Philosophy
Yoga For All
Yoga is something that I have always thought that "everyone" could do! No matter what your body type, level of expertise, or level of flexibility. People put too many stereotypes on what Yoga should be. Yoga is a personal practice and everyone is different and eveyone learns at different levels. There's no competition to be better or to be as flexible as your teacher. There is only the desire within to do the practice. I've taught children, adults and Seniors for over twelve years and the result is that they come away with is always the same. They feel "good" after doing Yoga. Yoga should make you feel good internally as well as externally. It is a practice that sometimes takes years to comprehend, but when you do, it will carry on onto your daily lives and help you get through rough times. For Yoga is not all about the poses and asanas, its' a way of life.

Services
Types of Classes:
Hatha Yoga- a mixture of a slower Vinyasa and of a Yin. Hatha classes are about "stretching" and not holding the poses too long. It is a mixture of balancing, stretching and relaxation.
Yin Yoga- Holding the poses that are mostly done on the floor for at least 5 minutes or longer to get into the fasciae of the muscles and promote sleep and relieving stress. Ideal for nightime Yoga sesssions.
Restorative Yoga- Holding poses for as long as in Yin Yoga, but less poses and emphasis more on stretching and relxing into the poses. Helps with "healing" the body.
Chair Yoga- For those limited in movement, Chair Yoga is also a perfect way to start Yoga for those that are unsure of sitting on a floor or have reservations about being able to move from that position into a standing one.

What Our Clients Say
Linda Cisneros-"When I started Yoga it helped my body not hurt so much" Thank-you!
KRISTIN WEAVER-
I started taking yoga lessons from Maria when I was working in a very stressful job. After each session I felt rejuvenated with a lower stress level. The beauty of Maria's teaching is that she goes slowly, gently talking us through the poses. At the beginning of each session she asks what we would like to do...stretching or more active poses so we get the most out of each class. Now retired and less stressed, doing yoga with Maria has helped improve my balance and flexibility, as well as promoting inner peace. I highly recommend Maria to anyone interested in aligning thier mind, body, and spirit!
